Quality in Sidpec
Our commitment to Quality is exemplified by maintaining certification to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System since 2004.
However, the Sidpec Quality Management System is highly consistent and extends far beyond the minimum requirements of the international standard.
Sidpec successfully completed the transition to the ISO 9001:2015 certification renewal, becoming the first company in the petrochemical sector to achieve this milestone in record time—thanks to its highly qualified team and the strong commitment of top management.
The Quality staff works diligently to ensure that all Sidpec processes are thoroughly aligned and well-orchestrated. In accordance with Sidpec Policy, our primary focus is on customers and continual improvement.
Therefore, Sidpec employees are dedicated not only to achieving customer satisfaction but also to exceeding customer expectations.
Furthermore, continual improvement at Sidpec entered a new phase in 2010 when the Quality General Manager introduced Lean Six Sigma (LSS) as a new approach for quality enhancement across all sectors of the company. Today, Sidpec has Three LSS Black Belts certified by IQF, Quality America and ASQ, as well as numerous LSS Green Belts. Effective Lean Six Sigma deployment is considered one of Sidpec’s major objectives.
The Sidpec Quality Assurance staff, in cooperation with Internal Audit Team members from various company sectors, provide senior management with reliable assurance that processes are being conducted properly and efficiently.
Sidpec’s extensive experience in quality improvement is planned to be successfully transferred to all its employees, as well as to professionals from other companies within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals sectors, through well-designed and high-quality training programs offered by the Quality Department.

Laboratory in sidpec
SIDPEC has successfully accomplished the transition to the ISO 9001:20 Ethylene & Research, Utilities and Environmental Laboratories:
Different laboratories sections to quality control all production processes. The laboratories apply standard test methods and most advanced equipment to achieve high accuracy and precision e.g. (UV, FTIR, ICPS, IC, GC…etc.).
Responsibilities:
– Analysis of ethylene, LPG and steam in all production stages.
– Analysis of water starting from raw water and different purification stages as pH, Cond., Turb., SO4, PO4, Fe, Silica, etc.
– Environmental analysis to assess the effectiveness of waste water treatment unit and flow gas analysis of boilers stacks and crackers stacks to comply with Egyptian environmental law No.4 for 1994. Analysis includes Heavy metals, COD, BOD, Oil, CO, NOx, SOx, etc.
Our laboratory periodically participates in proficiency test programs to assure the quality of test and calibration results.
The lab has been accredited by Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) in compliance with the requirement of ISO /IEC 17025:2005, in the field of some chemical testing of water.

Over more than 20 years and under the supervision of The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources SIDPEC has cared to actively contribute social improvement as an essential part of the company’s policy. Therefore, in order to further our good relations with neighboring residents of El-Nahda district in Alexandria city SIDPEC has been taking part in major and various social health and educational improvement projects for those who are in need.
Our company is proudly the first in Alexandria to extend a helping hand to the people of El-Nahda, with a promise to keep on supporting the people as it`s our obligation towards our society and country.
